Richard Lubold, 87

 

Richard Paul Lubold, died peacefully on July 1, 2017. Born in Uniontown Pennsylvania on February 26, 1930, Dick was the son of the late Jesse Alfred Lubold and Emma Blanche Paul Lubold. He lived in Indiana, PA., moving to Canada, Tennessee and eventually settling in Davidson, NC.

Dick graduated from Indiana High School and the GE Apprentice School in Erie, PA.  He retired from a career in Parts Handling and Product Management  from FMC Corp. and Batching Systems.

Dick attended Centre Presbyterian Church in Mooresville, NC where he served as an elder.

He is survived by his wife Joan McCullough Lubold. In addition he is survived by eight daughters, Becky, Patty (Bill), Cindy, Lindy (Dave), Carrie, Tammy (Ken), Laurie and Emma (Jim) and two sons, Richard, Jr. (Vickie) and Joseph (Tina) and his wife’s children David and Stacy. In addition he leaves 18 wonderful Grandchildren and four Great grandchildren.

Dick enjoyed an active life fishing, hunting and traveling extensively with long time friends and family.

He was preceded by a brother, Jesse Lubold and a sister, Margaret Metcalfe.

A memorial service with Dr. Robert Howard officiating will be held at Center Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow the service in Williams Building on July 22, 2017 at 11:00am.
