Oct. 3. Joel Pfyffer, owner of Prosciutto’s Pizzeria in Shops on the Green, says he’s open for business in spite of a small electrical fire in the attic Saturday afternoon around 2 pm. He said the Cornelius Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire, which, “thankfully,” he said, occurred while the business was open. Had it occurred at night, it’s likely the attic fire would have spread, and destroyed the building, fire officials said. There was only light damage to the attic and the front facade, just below the peak of the roof. Pfyffer said no one was injured. The phone number is 704-439-4444.
