NANCE

Pauline Christenbury Nance, 93, of Huntersville, NC passed away Thursday April 16, 2015 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. Born June 22, 1921 in Mecklenburg County she was a daughter of the late Joel A. (Joe) and Mary E. Sims Christenbury.  She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and employed as a textile worker for 42 years prior to her retirement from Reeves Bros.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 p.m.  Sunday April 19, 2015  at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Sammy Pierce officiating. She will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her sons, Leonard Nance & wife Barbara, Calvin Nance & wife Brenda and Wayne Nance and wife Holly; daughters, Sarah Atwell and Neta Nance: 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Willie R. Nance; son, Melvin Nance; grandson, Mark Smith; son-in-law, Bill Atwell and two brothers and one sister.
