There will be a community meeting April 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Calvary Chapel Church to discuss the proposed extension of McDowell Creek Greenway from Westmoreland Road to Catawba Avenue. The Cornelius Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture Department (PARC) will hold the meeting to discuss the new greenway which was funded by the 2013 voter-approved Park & Recreation bond referendum. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this meeting to learn about proposed improvements and provide feedback. Calvary Chapel is at 18731 West Catawba Ave.
