Loretta Lloyd Banner, 72, of Cornelius, NC passed away Tuesday February 24, 2015.  She was born on January 8, 1943 in Raleigh, NC to the late William and Nancy Durham Lloyd.
Loretta was an art teacher in the Virginia Beach and Charlotte Mecklenburg Public School Systems for many years.  She was a member of the Carolina Clay Matters Pottery Guild and was an instructor at the Cornelius Community Art Center.  Loretta cherished her family and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Banner, Jr., and sister, Betsy Taylor.
Loretta leaves to cherish her memory, her loving family; son, Powell Banner and his wife Marlayna; sister, Joan Jones and her husband Gordon; grandchildren, Niles, Eden, Kalena; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 28, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
