May 26. Robin Smith Salzman, owner of Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and long-time animal advocate, has donated a 2016 Ram 3500 Promaster to Spay Neuter Charlotte. Spay Neuter Charlotte offers low-cost spaying and neutering to animals in Charlotte and the surrounding areas, and it needed a cargo van to transport dogs and cats.

Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram coated the interior of the van with a protective Kevlar finish, and anchors and tracks were added to secure crates during transport. LED lighting and a heating and air conditioning unit were installed in the cargo area. Cook Truck Equipment added a partition between the cargo and passenger areas to maximize safety, and Andark Graphics installed all the graphics on the exterior of the van.

Pet owners who are unable to bring pets for a procedure will now be able to schedule pickup.

Spay Neuter Charlotte also plans to focus heavily on areas with high number of surrenders to shelters in hopes of reducing those numbers.
