Kristen Donnelly Brown, 43, of Huntersville, NC passed away on January 2, 2017 in Novant Prebyterian Hospital, Charlotte NC.

She was a devoted mother, and wife with a deep passion for the arts and all things related to the sea. She treasured her time as an avid beachcomber for rare shells and was a talented artist. She was selfless with her devotion to family and friends, giving while asking nothing in return. She was a dreamer of dreams, living her life somewhere between reality and fantasy enabling her to shine very warm luminous light on anyone who encountered her.

Kristen is survived by her husband, Chris Brown; Sons – Dylan Rickard and Gavin Rickard; Mother, Donna Duerr of Charlotte, NC; Father, James Donnelly of Cary, NC; Sister, Jennifer, husband Jeremy; nieces, Annabel and Lila Reeves of Waxhal, NC; and Grandfather, Kenneth Duerr of Fort Mill, SC.

A celebration of life will be held at 2pm on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at The Peninsula Yacht Club, 18501 Harbor Light Blvd. Lake Norman, Cornelius, NC 28031, followed by receiving of family and friends.
