TODAY. The “Summer Slam” gets under way at 8 am at Gold’s Gym in Cornelius. Over 30 vendors will be on site, with events ranging from an outdoor spin class to cardio dance, as well as activities for kids from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. The event is free and open to the public! There are raffles for giftcards and and gift baskets with 100 percent of the proceeds being donated to Big Day At The Lake which helps put at-risk kids from Big Brothers Big Sisters out on Lake Norman for a full day of fun. This year, BDATL is July 23. Vendors on sight to include Bayne Brewery, Nutrishop, Tastebuds Popcorn, Kona Ice and many many more! All vendors will also be donating a percentage of their proceeds to Big Day at the Lake.
