Aquesta Bank turns 11 years old Aug. 1. In honor of its 11th anniversary, the only bank headquartered in Cornelius will donate $5 to local food banks for every 11 non-perishable items brought into a branch. Donations to food banks typically plunge during the summer months, wreaking havoc on families and others who suffer from food insecurity.  “Aquesta has had a long tradition since its inception of giving back to the community. What better way to celebrate our anniversary than by doing what we do best and get directly involved in our community,” said Jim Engel, CEO and president. Additionally, all branches will be giving out free ice cream during August.
