What to do this 4th of July Week

July 1

Lily Pad opens

6 pm | July 1. Come cool off at Huntersville’s first splash pad at North Mecklenburg Park, 16131 Old Stateside Rd., Huntersville.

Thursday, July 4

Grab your red, white and blue crew

10 am | July 4. Decorate your bike near Concierge at Birkdale Village. Enjoy the annual bike parade at Birkdale Village, kicking off in front of Starbucks at 11 am,  and wet down by the Huntersville Fire Department at 11:30 am. A block party with face painting, balloon twisters, magicians and more at 11:45 am on The Plaza winds up the fun. In preparation for the bike parade and block party, Birkdale Commons Parkway from Talbots to Regal will be blocked off. All parking decks will be available. Birkdale Village, Huntersville.

Town of Davidson annual patriot stroll

5:30 pm | July 4. Residents and members of the community are invited to celebrate and encouraged to dress in festive attire and to decorate their wagons, bicycles, tricycles, and pets in red, white, and blue. South Street (starting at Cathey Street) will be closed between 5:10 pm and 5:35 pm so that participants can safely line up in the road and sidewalks.

Participants in the stroll are asked to line up at the Davidson Town Hall and Community Center, 251 South St., at 5:15 pm. Festivities will begin at 5:30 pm with a color guard comprised of members of the Davidson Police and Fire departments leading the community up South Street onto Main Street to the Town Green for a Concert on the Green starting at 6 pm. Downtown Davidson.

6-8 pm | July 4. Chunky Daddy – Variety. Town Green, downtown Davidson.

Annual Stars and Stripes on Main Parade

10 am | July 4. Celebrate Independence Day with float, performers and marchers in a red, white and blue parade on Main Street, downtown Mooresville.

Friday, July 5

Live Under The Oaks

6-8 pm | July 5.  Brett Milstead performs. No coolers are allowed on property. A bar will be onsite in the designated area provided by Red Rocks for beverage needs. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. Seating space may be limited. The Plaza, Birkdale Village, Huntersville.

Saturday, July 6

Bruce in the USA

8 pm | July 6. This high-energy musical experience is an accurate recreation of a Bruce Springsteen & The E St. Band show. $20 in advance; $25 at the door. BoatYard, 18418 Statesville Rd., Cornelius.

Mooresville Festival of Food Truck

5-8:30 pm | July 6. Bring a chair, hang out in the street eating food truck fare and listening to music. Downtown Mooresville.

2024 Concerts @ the Circles

5- 6:30 pm, acoustic artist. 7-9  pm headliner | July 6. Blue Monday – MTV Retro. Jetton Street near Clean Juice, 605 D, Davidson.
