Juneteenth Pop-Up Farmer’s Market at Town Hall

9 am-noon.  The North Mecklenburg Community Farmers Market, normally hosted at the Northern Regional Recreation Center, will feature local growers and vendors offering healthy, farm-fresh produce and other goods. Cornelius Town Hall Parking Lot.

Global Wine Exploration Night

6:30-8 pm | June 19. Guided Tasting (Portuguese wines). $20. Lost Worlds Brewery, 19700-D One Norman Blvd.

Thursday, June 20

Breakfast with the Blue

9 -10:30 am | June 20. Are you team Chicken Minis or Chicken Biscuit? Either way, join the Cornelius Police for Breakfast with the Blue at Chick-fil-A, 17035 Nat Bynum Ln.

6pm-9pm | June 20.  The Catalinas. Grab your lawn chairs/blankets and enjoy an evening of live music in downtown Huntersville. A food truck and beverage vendor will be onsite with food and drinks for purchase. Veterans Park at Main & Maxwell, 201 Huntersville-Concord Rd., Huntersville.

Symphony in the Park

HEARTS Junion ’24

2-5 pm | June 22. Attend HEARTS 3rd annual Junion for an exploration of regional history through the lens of genealogy, along with live music, dance and local ecology. Commemoration of the 244th Anniversary of the Battle of Ramsour’s Mill

10 am – noon | June 22.  Hosted by the Catawba Valley Chapter, North Carolina Sons of the American Revolution. In-person. Free.The Commemoration of the Battle of Ramsour’s Mill will be held at the mass grave at Battleground Elementary School, 301 Jeb Seagle Dr., Lincolnton.

Sunday, June 23

Juneteenth Celebration

1 – 4 pm | June 23. Festivities include bounce house, face painter, live performances, vendors and music. David B. Waymer Recreation Center, 14008 Holbrooks Rd., Huntersville.

Historic Tour of the Store

1-2:15 pm and 3-4 pm | June 23. Step back in time to 1779 and explore the Hugh Torance House and Store and grounds.  The historic Hugh Torance House and Store is the oldest-standing store in NC and one of Mecklenburg County’s few surviving 18th-century structures. The site is adjacent to Cedar Grove, the National Register brick 1831 Greek Revival home of James Torrance, son of Hugh and Isabella Torance. This is a free tour but donations are most welcome.
