Rainy weather affects start of Jetton Road rebuild

March 11. It looks like rainy weather this week will delay repaving a 2-mile stretch of Jetton Road from West Catawba Avenue to just past John Connor Road. Tyler Beardsley, project manager for the Town of Cornelius, said rain forecast for this afternoon and later this week means that Blythe Bros. Construction did not start work today as the flashing sign was promising last week.

The four-lane road will be torn up through mid-June. The National Weather Service is calling for a rainy week. The work is expected to be done mid-June.
