(Feb. 12) The Cornelius Presbyterian Church is having its annual pine needle sale. Orders are currently being taken. Orders taken from now until Feb. 28^th will saves 25 cents per bale. Bethel Presbyterian votes to separate from Presbyterian Church USA

At least 95 percent of Bethel Presbyterian Church’s congregation voted yesterday to pull out of the Presbyterian Church USA denomination.  The move means that the 184 year old Cornelius church, located on Bethel Church Road, will begin the process of affiliating with the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians, a 2-year-old breakaway denomination, more conservative than PC USA.

Temple Kol Tikvah Awarded Grant from Union for Reform Judaism

August 14, 2012 Temple Kol Tikvah has been awarded a grant to fund teen programs to continue their learning beyond their Bar or Bat Mitzvah.  The grant from the Union for Reform Judaism will focus on three components:  team building/leadership, working with younger children, and learning. Temple Kol Tikvah is one of 20 Reform congregations in North America selected to receive an Incubator Grant from the Union for Reform Judaism.
