The Town of Cornelius will host an open house and workshop Tuesday, March 31, at Town Hall starting at 6:30 pm. There will be a work shop and formal presentation by Alta Planning & Design. Town staff will be available for questions. The Town of Cornelius is developing a bicycle master plan to address bicycle transportation issues, specifically bicycle transportation options (such as bike lanes, bicycle paths, separated bikeways, etc.) that are within the public street right-of-way. The recommendations from this plan are intended to compliment recommendations in the Town’s current Pedestrian Master Plan (adopted June 2012) and the Comprehensive Parks and Greenways Master Plan that is under development. The Town will also be hosting a two day planning charrette for Bike!Cornelius on April 21 and 22 at Town Hall. More information regarding the charrette will be released following the public workshop.
